Embroidery is one of those crafts I love even though I am not very skilled at it. I don’t let that bother me though, and just enjoy the process without fretting too much over the mistakes. It might be the only handcraft I do where I can allow myself to let go like that.
There is anticipation when the pattern gets put into the frame. Stretched taut, it shows the promise of the finished piece waiting for the quiet “pop” of the needle as the stitches are put in.

Brilliant, embroidery makes an appearance in our challenge. Fantastic interpretation.
Thank you. So many handcrafts start with an outline.
It is great to enjoy the process without worry of the outcome. What are you making? It looks like fun.
It is rare for me to be able to do this. I tend to want to rip out imperfections in most things. Eventually this will be a pillow…may take a few years.
Oh Yes! I know what you mean about anticipation at the start of a project. Great entry for the challenge.
It’s also what makes me start a new project before I finish with the old one…or two, or three…already in the works.
I’ve been drawn more to embroidery lately, too–I think it’s making a comeback!
It’s a good introduction to needlecrafts. I’ve noticed people repinning things from my embroidery board on Pinterest recently too.
What a good idea for outline. I’m just dabbling with embroidery but loving it so far 😀
It can be a nice mix of being relaxing and challenging at the same time.
