Everyone thinks their dad is the greatest, but my dad continues to astound me. He graduated college at 19, married at 20, started a family at 21, raised 3 children, and worked hard for many years.
Once he retired, he decided to do all of the tings he never had time to do. He joined an oratorio society because he always wanted to sing. He travels with my mother and they have visited many countries (and never with a tour group), and recently he bought a small sunfish sailboat.
My dad is 80 years old, and is still does all the home repairs and DIY jobs himself, but I’m glad to know he is grabbing as much of the fun side of life as he can. I want to be like him when I grow up.
Hurrah for Dads!
How wonderfully inspiring!!!! To buy a boat at 80 – he surely does personify the word ZEST!!!!
A great guy!

Lovely! It seems as though you’ve perfectly captured your happy, zestful dad. 🙂
