My mother’s family does not stay in close contact, but last week, a cousin sent me a message saying she was coming into Philadelphia with her mom to visit the zoo.
I met up with them and we had a beautiful cool but sunny day seeing all of the animals. This flamingo was perfectly still with his head under the water, right up until I hit the shutter. The ripples make his image look almost like ribbons.

I likes those water droplets too. These flamingos were very orange. maybe because I mostly see plastic ones on people’s lawn, I always think of them as pink.
