I blame Nancy Drew. She was always finding old keys or other mysterious clues that led her on an adventure to unravel a secret. There is something about finding an old skeleton key that sets the mind wondering. Was it from an old house? A steamer trunk? Does the keyhole still exist somewhere remaining locked (or unlocked) because the key was lost?
I know the keyhole this unlocks, but I don’t have access to it anymore. The story behind how I got it will remain part of the secret.

Oh wow, what a wonderful mystery! Yes keys are very evocative of secret. Super subject for this prompt and lovely picture.
I wish I still had the little locking diary I was given as a child. I would love to reread those secrets now.
Intriguing, great secret.
This was a tough prompt!

A wonderful secret locked behind that door
There is. And I’ll never tell…
Oh, this is great! I loved Nancy Drew, and I still love old keys. And you’ve kept the secret from us…very clever.
I just found a Nancy Drew published in the 30s at my In-Laws house. It may have come home with me. 🙂
