Although crocus are usually the first flower that shows up, sometimes before winter is even over, and the daffodil blooming is my sign that spring is finally, truly here, the first trees to pop are the flowering cherries.
This almost always happens overnight. The pinks and whites show up suddenly while all the other trees are still bare. I usually spot them first while driving and they make my heart happy.

My favorite is when the leaves pop out of the trees. It seems to happen overnight. Lovely photo of flowers.
I love the green haze that suddenly appears when that happens.
Cherry blossom, oh yes so pretty! Lovely picture.
You already had the daffodils covered. 🙂
Is this photo from this spring?! Is Philly that far ahead of upstate New York?
It is last year, but we have the cherry blossoms, magnolias and forsythias out here. Everything else is still sleeping.
They are so pretty 🙂
It is so nice to see flowers on the trees after months of bare branches.
Such a great photo! Very pretty 🙂
The flowers do all the pretty work.
Beautiful colours on this photo, it would make a great palette for a knitting or crochet project.
I like that idea!
🙂
What a beautiful photograph, lovely to see the bright blue sky behind these beauties!
The sky really makes the blossoms pop.
