We always keep a bottle of something bubbly in our refrigerator to celebrate whatever life tosses our way. Sometimes it is seeing friends, sometimes it is good news, and sometimes it is just having a free morning to spend together. It is never very expensive, but it is there to mark the happy moments in our lives. The corks, and sometimes the cages, get saved in a large jar to be repurposed for something later, but each one marks a small celebration.

You can’t beat some bubbly! Lovely picture.
My first instinct was yarn, so I decided to really challenge myself to come up with something different.
That’s a nice photo. I like the corks.
Thanks. It was hard to photograph the jar, so I went for the overhead view.
Memories of happy times.. Lovely idea…xx
Happy was hard to narrow down. But that’s a good thing.
Sweet! I like the collection 🙂 Neat little shapes!
Until I can find something to use them for, it makes a nice display.
This is a most excellent tradition!
I’ve found if you look, you can find many things to celebrate.
Love this depiction of ‘Happy’! My family kept a champagne cork from each celebration too, and for some reason my Dad cut a slot in the bottom of the cork and put a coin in it, then they were lined up on a shelf – you have brought back some very happy memories! That’s one of the things I love about this challenge. ❤
I just had to Google “coin in champagne cork”. Looks like other people do it too to create a good luck charm. And now I’ve learned something new today. 🙂
Aah! thank you for that, I will Google it too. Don’t you just love how through this wonderful world of blogging we can share such positive things. ❤

So true! I have to ration myself.
I remember my dad giving me a champagne cork after some celebration with the date written on the bottom!
I used to try to write the dates on them..but then the collection got too big. 🙂
