What is that? No ends to weave in? I have fallen for self striping yarn. This is different than the normal variegated yarn as the colors don’t change as quickly, and rather than creating blobs of color, produce a nice stripe. For the first project with this, I selected one with bright jewel tones so I could clearly see how it worked up.
This is also using the corner-to-corner pattern. The stripes work out well for the width of the scarf, and the diagonal striping gives it a different look than the other scarves with straight stripes I have done in the past.
So far, so good.
Looks awesome!
Thanks. I’m so excited I won’t have to weave in ends!
Wonderful colors. Is this sock yarn?
No, It is worsted weight. You use a large K hook with it too, so it grows very quickly.
So pretty!
Love those bright jewel tones!
There were other more subtle choices, but the bright colors called to me.
Is Lb’s Amazing yarn?
That is what I wanted to get, but I was at Michael’s and they did not carry it. (The AC Moore across the street did, but I didn’t have a coupon with me, and I can’t go to a craft store without a coupon). It is Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable. The LB colors are gorgeous.
🙂 The Red Heart Boutique is very nice too! I love the color! 🙂 we don’t have an AC Moore here!
I really like that. I might have to try that with some hand dyed yarn someday
Ah! This is beautiful. I’m going to have to pick up some of this yarn for myself.
