I wanted to finish this on Friday, but didn’t quite make it. Saturday was looking sketchy because I was scraping paint on the outside trim of our porch, but then the temperature dropped rapidly in the afternoon, and I abandoned my scraper and took up my crochet hook. I was able to complete it quickly, and then had to get ready to go to my 30th high-school reunion–yikes!
As I mentioned earlier, this scarf was made to donate to Foster Care to Success, a group which provides care packages to kids aging out of the foster care program. They are accepted through December 15, which meant I did not want this one to sit forgotten in the WIP pile. Now I just need to add a note and mail it off.
Yay–you finished! It looks great and will keep someone warm–perfect!
I’m getting better at the finishing of projects these days.
What a lovely colour . Hope the reunion was enjoyable.
The reunion was fun. It was good to see people I haven’t seen i 25 years, although I am in denial that it has been 30 years since high school.
Someone is going love it! 🙂
Hope so!
Oo, pretty! Gorgeous colour!
I really like the color too. It has browns & purples in it, but still has an overall red look.
*nods* I really love yarn that has a bit of a speckle to it…super pretty effect
I love how it turned out. That will make somebody’s day.
I’m happy with it too. I like the look of the granny stitch in scarf form.
