I had a small skein of multi-colored yarn yarn I had gotten in a yarn swap earlier this year. It was too small for a single project, so I decided to make some flowers that I could use as embellishments or pins sometime in the future.
I’ve always made petal flowers like daisies in the past, but wanted to try making a rose. Little did I know that this is just about the easiest pattern out there. It is basically scallops stitched in a long row, then spiraled up and sewn together with the tails of the yarn. I want to try this using different weights and fuzziness now to see how they look.
That’s a great idea to make flowers. They are beautiful. I am going to give it a try.
It’s a great way to use up those odd bits of half skeins sitting around too.
Those are super cute. I have tried that pattern before. Super fun!!!
Fun and instant gratification!
Another blogger sent me some roses like this last year! Ever-blooming!
A friend gave me a pin with one a few years ago, but she is a very experienced crocheter and I assumed it was a complicated pattern. 🙂
