4 squares

I’ve completed 4 of the 6 squares for part one of the Wildflower Bag CAL. This is one pattern where I have found myself using a stitch marker more than I ever have before. I think I’ve mentioned before that my marker of choice is a bobby pin. I’ve also discovered another benefit of using them; they are cheap and plentiful.

This is especially helpful when one flies out of your hand, up into the air and down between the cushion of your chair. Trying to retrieve it, I found all sorts of things: a cat toy, some yarn snippets, 35 cents, a bamboo skewer (I have no idea how that got there), a candy wrapper, assorted cat hair and lint, but no bobby pin. Since they come in a pack of 50, I grabbed three of them and put them in my crochet tin since I have a feeling this won’t be the last time one goes wandering off.

Seriously, how did a bamboo skewer get into the cushions of my chair? It had to be some sort of craft-related use. At least that is what I keep telling myself.
