CAL Yarn

I had a need to go yarn shopping today. Fortunately I had exactly 4 coupons for Jo-Ann Fabrics, and 2 of them were for 60% off one item. I have learned that when you sign up for emails from a big box craft store, they will send you coupons. If you also go directly to their site, the same coupons are usually there but with different bar codes so when a good coupon hits your email, you can usually score two of them.

This need arose because I’ve decided to jump into a crochet along (CAL). I am a sucker for crochet bags, and this one was too cute to pass up. Rebecca from Little Monkeys Crochet gave me permission to post the photo:

The first weeks’ instructions were released today.  I’m going to see if I have the other supplies in my stash, but I did not have 800 yards of worsted (DK) cotton in a single color. I was hoping for orange or bright pink, but I do always love turquoise.

The intro and supplies list is here if the bag calls to you too. And the first set of instructions is here.

The pattern has been translated into UK terms, but also into Dutch, German, French, Spanish and Danish. Whew! It’s going to be a world wide CAL.

I did also finish the green square. I was determined to get it done.
