It is hard to haul a sewing machine with you when you go somewhere. Impossible to set it up in a waiting room to get through a couple of seams. And forget about the ironing board that accompanies every sewing project. That’s why I am glad I have yarn projects as part of my crafting.
I had to spend some time in a waiting room yesterday and it was nice to be able to pack up this small bag with a magazine, water bottle, some yarn and a hook. As rare as it is to have time to sit and read, I chose to crochet. A few stolen hours of creative time can be a real treat, no matter where it happens. Working on projects that require very few tools and supplies has opened up new places to create.
Yes! I try to always plan for a portable project, too!
I’m also going to use it as an excuse for why I always have multiple projects going!
