This wreath pattern from Petals to Picots showed up in my Pinterest feed last week. I decided to give it a go for Memorial Day.
It was very fast to work up, and I was able to do it using scrap yarn. Even though each of the 3 colors were all considered worsted, they had a different thickness to them, but since the wreath is stitched in the back the difference this caused in width of the rows did not matter. I used a slightly smaller wreath base than the one in the pattern (since that is what I had on hand), but by leaving out one set of red and white stripes, it fit.It was also a green wreath form, so I painted it white before attaching the crochet so the green would not peek through the white stripes. Now to come up with a better hanger for it than the piece of blue yarn I used in order to get the photo.
I love it 🙂
Thanks! I’m going to leave it up through the 4th of July.
Quick work!
