The blue bag is finished, handles sewn on and ends woven in! I may go back and add some motif over where the handles join the bag later. The original pattern from Attic24 has flowers, and I added them on the first one of these I made. This one, without all the colorful stripes, has a more beachy feel to it, so I may try some shells, or starfish eventually.
I was able to make this using only yarn in my stash. I’m slowly working my way through the big bag of cotton yarn I seem to have collected over the years. It has been good to find other uses for it since I have to many dishcloths to count. I’m not sure if this will be a project bag or find some other use. Originally I was torn between keeping it or giving it away, but I think this one will stay with me. Working on it was such a positive experience during some trying days, and I want to hold on to that positive feeling.
