Some days I decide what I want to make for February’s Thing-a-Day during the day, but because I was staying at a friend’s house last night, I needed to pack up supplies for today’s project yesterday.
It had to be portable, and require few supplies, and be quick. These crochet button flowers fit all the criteria. It took a while to get the hang of the first round, and you need to use 2 different hooks, one tiny one to pull the yarn through the button holes, and a regular sized one to do the actual crochet.
I started with the heavier yarn to learn it, but it works up easier with a finer yarn. The bright orange is one of those Bon bons from lion brand, but a sock weight yarn would probably work well too.
