It is done! DONE! And like every time I make a striped afghan, at the end I tell myself never again. Why? Weaving in all the ends.
But I do love the way a striped blanket can take an ordinary stitch–in this case a basics double crochet–and dress it up a bit.
I have heard from 2 others in my crochet group who are also working on the project with me. In the end there should be 5 of us sending them in.
Throwing in the purple with the overall Christmas colors was a move I wasn’t sure would work, but in the end, I liked that little bit of contrast.
So now I need to decide on the next project for tomorrow. There are three possibilities. I will see how I feel in the morning.
